ECCO A VOI LA LEGGENDA AFRICANA DEL RE DELLA SAVANA: IL BAOBAB.

According to an old African legend, one day the elves that lived in the savannah of the men who decided to retaliate with arguments and loud noise disturbed their peace. During the night, the fairies uprooted all the plants that grew around the villages and reversed upside down. Thus was born the baobab tree trunk and the massive head of hair almost bare, planted with the roots seems to heaven. The baobab tree is the symbol of the savanna, a true giant who lives over five years, whose trunk can reach height of 25 meters and a circumference of 30.
To his long life and for its ability to survive drought, considered a sacred tree. Baobab is used to even talk, seek advice and whispering incantations by placing your hand on the trunk, to get powerful protection against life's adversities. Finally, there is no disease that infusions, decoctions, infusions of baobab not cure, from sunburn to malaria, dysentery from measles.
But popular beliefs aside, the baobab has many qualities that make it really useful to man. The cells of the spongy trunk can hold extraordinary amount of water during the dry seasons and the peoples of the savanna chew the twigs of this tree to combat thirst. By its bark produces a strong fiber, useful for the manufacture of bags, ropes, nets and matting, wire weaving.
